Amazing find measuring 7-5/8″ x 4″ x 2″ in classic black steatite. This piece was found in a tobacco field (now a hay field) in the Ish Creek Bottoms, Blount, County, Tennessee. in the early 1990’s by a local laborer. The location is known and is now a hay field. The pipe’s features are exceptionally well done with stylized wings and feet. There is damage to one side from agricultural equipment and a small fragment of the bowl has been glued back in.
