Gold Cufflink w/ Indian Chief Profile
Very intricately and professionally hand carved and chased around the perimeter. Circa 1900-1930. Incised T.O.T.E. On headband stands for a secret password of the ‘Improved Order of Red Men’ (est. 1834 and still in existence), known only to members of the organization. It is suggested to stand for “Totem of the Eagle.” Gold not stamped or tested, looks like 14K, but not guaranteed. Weighs 2.6 dwt. Really neat item for the collector of antique Indian related objects. Could easily be made into another wearable piece of jewelry or simply enjoyed as is.
