Pre-Columbian, Colima, Mexico, ca. 300 BC to 300 AD. Made of jet black glossy Obsidian no doubt erupted from the famed Colima volcano. Exhibits grinding/polishing on lateral edges but not the basal edge. Essentially an Angostura in form. Very impressive ‘Centerpiece’ type example. Ex- Dr. David Harner Collection. Former director at the Gilcrease Museum along with Gregory Perino.
