Excellent 6 3/8" Colima Trilobate Obsidian Spearpoint
Pre-Columbian, Colima, Mexico, ca. 300 BC to 300 AD. This spearpoint is made from jet black glossy obsidian that no doubt came from eruptions of the famed Colima volcano. Meticulously flaked to a very rare triangular form (tribolate style) blade that is long and slender and completely intact. Truly a lethal weapon. Ex- Dr. David Harner Collection. Former director at the Gilcrease Museum along with Gregory Perino.
